PEARL OF AFRICA 

 
 

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport Kampala    D

You will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to hotel in Kampala, the largest city in Uganda. Orientation meeting followed by dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Kampala-Jinja-Kampala.    B/L/D

Our Ugandan exploration will begin with a scenic drive north arriving to Jinja, a town nestled on the shore of Africa's largest lake, Lake Victoria. Here we will visit the famous source of the White Nile and take a break to enjoy great lunch with a view of the lake.  The brave will have the opportunity to go for a half day white water rafting adventure on the world class rapids on the White Nile. Afterwards return to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kampala-Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary-Murchison Falls NP.    B/D

Breakfast at hotel,followed by some free time to buy necessities, exchange money, etc..On our way to Murchison Falls NP we will visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where we'll have the opportunity to learn about these critically endangered creatures and go for a walk in the reserve, getting a chance to see them in their  natural environment.Continue to Masindi for lunch and proceed to our lodge in Murchison Falls NP. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 4: Murchison Falls NP     B/D

Early wake up to go for morning game drive with bush breakfast.Explore Uganda's largest National Park which has impressed numerous famous visitors with it's varied landscape and bountiful wildlife including lion, cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, hippo, crocodile as well as an extremely rich and diverse bird population. Game drive until lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the Victoria Nile falls and take a short hike to the top for an unforgettable sunset experience.. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 5: Murchison Falls NP Kibale Forest NP.    B/D

After breakfast a scenic drive will bring us to Butiaba, a port and fishing village on the shore of Lake Albert. On the way we'll stop at a restaurant for a lunch break and then continue for a visit to the "Amabeere ganyina mwiru" rock, a historical site, the crater lakes and weave our way to our Lodge at Kibale Forest NP Dinner and overnight at lodge..

Day 6: Kibale Forest NP     B/D

The World famous Kibale Forest NP is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and montane forests in East Africa.It offers us a chance to go Chimpanzee tracking and meet humans closest relatives up close. In the afternoon enjoy a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary or relax at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 7: Kibale Forest NP-Queen Elisabeth NP     B/L/D

Enjoy breakfast and proceed south to take a small step for mankind but a big leap for yourself as we cross the Equator to the Southern hemisphere. A short photo stop and we'll continue to Queen Elisabeth NP where we'll take another cruise, this time on Kazinga Channel, a 40km canal which connects Lakes Edward and George. View wildlife on the banks of the canal with the cloud capped peaks of highest mountain range in Africa, the Ruwenzori or The Mountains of the Moon making for a fabulous backdrop. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 8: Queen Elisabeth NP-Lake Bunyonyi     B/D

Early morning game drive in Queen Elisabeth NP. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds. After drive south through lush green countryside to hotel at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa's second deepest Lake. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi     B

Lake Bunyonyi is the perfect spot to spend a couple of days at leisure or you can go Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP or Mgahinga NP, two of only a handful of places on Earth where you can observe the critically endangered Eastern Mountain Gorilla, a true Gentle Giant of the jungle. Alternatively, you can spend your day at leisure at the hotel or enjoy activities on the lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi     B

Take a boat cruise and view countless birds, visit the local school and get a peek into life on and around the lake. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11; Lake Bunyoni-Kampala     B/D

After early breakfast we drive to hotel in Kampala with lunch en route. Some free time followed by farewell dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12:     B

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Entebbe Airport for departure flight.

End of Tour.
