DAY 01  Helsinki - Turku (L,D)


Arrival in Helsinki. Lunch in a local restaurant. City tour of Helsinki - Senaatintori square; Lutheran Cathedral, the unofficial symbol of the city, the Railway station with the high clock tower; the Athenaeum Museum, Parliament - Eduskuntatalo; Especially popular the Lutheran Church, build in 1969 - Temppeliaukion kirkko - from the outside it resembles only a modest stone wall, even more modest entrance and a simple dome. It Departure for Turku. Dinner in or around Turku. Departure towards Stockholm on an overnight ferry in private 2 bed cabins.


 

DAY 02  Turku - Stockholm - Bergen (B,L,D)


Breakfast on board the ferry. Arrival in Stockholm, Sweden. Start with the tour of Stockholm – it is the capital of Sweden, situated on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea at the entrance of Lake Mälaren. With around two million inhabitants also the largest city in Sweden. It is known primarily for its famous position as the center of the city, next to land, lies also on 14 islands of the Lake Mälaren. Hence the name "City of Water". The oldest part is the Gamla Stan and should be incorporated into every tour of the city. The Royal Palace hides in its interior one of the oldest Swedish Museums. What is most interesting is the changing of the guard, which is impressive since it formed both by the horsemen and infantry in immaculately coordinated movements. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continuation with the Storkyrkan cathedral, the oldest cathedral in Stockholm. Close by are also the Nobel Prize museum and the Postal museum. The famous Vasamuseet, which is dedicated to King Gustav Vasa, with exhibits of a warrior ship from 1628. Ultimately finishing at the town hall, which is celebrated mainly due to the Nobel Prize awards and a dance in a room decorated with pieces of gold. Early dinner in Stockholm. Depart for the airport and fly to Bergen, Norway. Arrive in Bergen and transport to the hotel. Overnight in Bergen.


 

DAY 03  Bergen - Flåm (B,L,D)


Breakfast in the hotel. Hotel check-out and assemble at the lobby. Departure towards Flåm. Driving one of the most scenic routes in Norway is a feast for the eyes. The beautiful Norwegian landscape will follow us on this app. 2,5h journey to one of the least exploited parts of the country. Photo stop options along the way. Lunch in Flåm.              Flåm-Gudvangen fjord trip - The boat tour between Flåm and Gudvangen winds around precipitous mountains, mighty waterfalls and small homesteads that cling to the mountain sides. Along the way you can see Aurland, the centre of the municipality with the stone church from the 1200's. You pass by the village of Undredal, which hosts one of the world's smallest churches. Way up on the mountain side lies the Stigen homestead, whose name comes from the fact that people had to use ladders (NOR - stige) to get there. Soon you will also reach the Nærøyfjord, a minor fjord branching off from the Sognefjord, which is the world's narrowest fjord at only 250 metres at its narrowest point. The Nærøyfjord was also added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2005. From here you can view the majestic Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. The fjord is framed by mountaintops of up to 1800 metres. In the early summers the waterfalls roar over the mountain sides and breaks in white foam when the water hits the fjord. Arrival in Gudvangen.          Return to Flåm by bus. Dinner in a local or hotel restaurant. Overnight in Flåm.

 

 

DAY 04  Flåm - Oslo (B,L,D)


Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out and assemble at the lobby. Board the train for Oslo and ride the - Flamsbana is a spectacular train journey that offers a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent nature in the Norwegian fjord landscape. Flamsbana is one of the steepest trainlines in the world on normal tracks, where almost 80% of the journey has a gradient of 5.5%. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. In the span of a single hour, the train takes you from the ocean level at the Sognefjord in Flam, to the mountaintop at Myrdal mountain station on Hardangervidda, 863 meters over the ocean. Myrdal is also a station on the Bergen railway, which means that Flamsbana corresponds with the trains on the Oslo - Bergen line. National Geographic Traveler Magazine has named the Flam Railway as one of the top 10 train journeys in Europe and Lonely Planet named it the best train journey in the world in 2014. Arrive in Oslo and a late lunch. Ample amount of time for shopping in Norway’s capital. Dinner in a local or hotel restaurant. Overnight in Oslo.


 

DAY 05  Oslo - Copenhagen (B,L,D)


Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out and assemble at the lobby. Half day Oslo sightseeing. The capital city of Norway is full of colors! Oslo a city of the Vikings, green hills and spectacular fjords. The city is located at the top of the fjord, surrounded with mountains and forests. The metropolitan area is sprinkled with about 40 islands. The greater Oslo is surrounded by 343 lakes of which Maridalsvannet is the largest one; We will head above the city for one of the best views of Oslo - the ski jump centre at Holmenkollen - best photo op. And than continue for the Akershus Fortress and Castle - one of the most important medieval fortresses in Norway, where you can track the history of Norway from the 12th century to the present day ... Lunch in a local restaurant. Karl Johans Gate Street is the main street in Oslo, starting at the main railway station and is considered one of the most vibrant places in the city. Near are the university, the theater, the Parliament and the Royal Palace. Vigeland Park and museum - a place to see the statues of the famous Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland. Viking Ship Museum - you will find some of the best preserved ships, which were used by the Vikings. In addition to ships, there is a great deal of items found in Viking graves in the vicinity of the fjord. Departure towards Copenhagen on an overnight ferry in private 2 bed cabins with dinner on board.

 

 

DAY 06  Copenhagen (B,L)


Breakfast on board the ferry. Arrival to Copenhagen, Denmark. Start of the Copenhagen tour - of the old buildings in Copenhagen the highest attention is awarded to Amalienborg Royal Palace, next to which the Marble church, the town hall and Gefion fountain stand. Examples of great Renaissance architecture are the buildings of the old Stock Exchange and the Rosenborg Palace in the heart of the city, while the round tower and Fredensborg Palace come from the Baroque period. Lunch in a local restaurant. Modern architecture in this city leaves a lasting impression, especially the Opera, the library called the Black Diamond and the Dr. Byen Concert Hall. For the symbol of the city - the Little Mermaid - it is said that it is probably the most photographed person on the planet. Not far from the original statue, lies its post-modern version set in the port between the modern apartment buildings.
