CZECH TOUR WITH DRESDEN


 

 

DAY 1:  … - Prague  L/D

After a morning arrival and the formalites with the customs at Prag airport drive to Prague and visit of the biggest attractions of Prague, Prague Castle with the St. Vitus cathedral, the Old Palace and the Golden Lane. After the lunch break we’ll tour through the Old Town on foot: over the Charles Bridge, Old city square with the Orloj clock tower, the Jewish Quarter, Powder tower, Wenceslas Square ... transfer to the hotel, check-in and free late afternoon until the dinner at the hotel. Overnight.


Day 2: Prague - Karlstejn - Karlovy Vary - Prague

After an early breakfast drive to the famous castle of Karlštajn where the Czech king Charles IV each year of his reign withdrawn for a month in meditation. The castle was a stronghold for the imperial Czech crown. Visit of the castle will be followed by a break for lunch and then continue to Karlovy Vary. The city is today one of the most prestigious spas in the Czech Republic and at the same time an architectural jewel: famous buildings of the old spas, beautiful villas, promenade and stands with running mineral healing water ... After the visit return to Prague, dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight.


Day 3: Prague - Dresden - Prague

Morning departure to Dresden via Czech highlands past Teplice. We will visit this unique baroque city full of museums and galleries, which today is considered one of the most beautiful German cities. Despite the fact it was almost completely destroyed during the II. WW. The visit includes an exhibition in the famous Zwinger. The choice of the exhibition is either of porcelain or weapons. In the late afternoon we will slowly return back to Prague. Dinner in authentic Czech beer pub. Overnight.


Day 4: Prague - Konopište - Český Krumlov

After breakfast we head towards the south of the Czech Republic. Continuing the tour of the castle of Konopiště and / or Hluboka (depending on date of departure). Arriving to Český Krumlov will be in the afternoon. We will visit the local Eggenberg brewery with a tasting of light and dark beer. Free for some independent sightseeing around the town. Dinner in a local medieval restaurant. Overnight in Český Krumlov.


Day 5: Český Krumlov - Melk - Vienna airport

After an early breakfast a walk through the second largest Czech castle complex, which is protected by two live bears, and then free to wander the charming streets of the old town on the Vltava River, where it looks like the time has stopped in the Middle Ages. After a break for lunch, we’ll continue to Melk in Austria, where we will visit the famous baroque Benedictine Abbey, which among other things, looks after the remains of the house of Babenberg, the first Austrian ruling dynasty. Transfer to the airport in Vienna.
